High Density Fiberboard door facings of various designs from Masonite International Corporation. Masonite's door facings is a wood fiber mat made from engineered wood that is moulded under intense heat and pressure into a 1/8" (3.2 mm) thick sheet of high density fiberboard. It is phenolic bonded eco-friendly wood materials with lowest formaldehyde emission by EU and JIS standards.

The Intumescent Strip provides safe, efficient system for sealing air space between door and frame in the event of fire. When exposed to heat and/or fire, the intumescent material expands to fill any gaps.

Intumescent Strip begins to expand at 250°F (121°C), forming a hard char. High expansion (20 times its volume). It expands gradually at relatively low temperature. It has a reservoir for continued expansion.

PROFILED MINERAL CORE

A 60-minute fire-rating profiles solid mineral core, outlined by a birch/maple door frame treated with diammonium phosphate (proven protection against fire). This low- density engineered product comes specially from Marshfield Door System (formerly Weyerhaeuser) for molded door facing.
